Phenomenal One

I get bored and think of random threads to make here and this is one of them. It does not neccesarily have to be a 5 star match, hell it doesn't even have to be a 3 star match. Its just the match that you could go all day watching without getting bored and turning it off.

I have 3 that I thought of and I will also say how they could have been better.

1. John Cena vs Rob Van Dam-One Night Stand 2006-I enjoy watching this match because the fans hate on Cena so much. Don't get me wrong I am not a Cena hater in the least. I actually am more of a Cena fan then not but the fans all over Cena the entire 25 minutes he is in the arena is amazing. The thing I don't care for about this match is Edge's interference.

2. Bret Hart vs Mr. Perfect-Summerslam 1991-This match is just purely amazing. I love it. The only thing I would change about it is not to have Mr. Perfect tap so quickly because as I remember it, Bret didn't even have the sharpshooter applied all the way yet and Perfect tapped.

3. Shane McMahon vs Kurt Angle-King of the Ring 2001-Awesome match. The only thing I would change about this match would be for Shane to go through the glass the first time Angle threw him into it.

Cactus Jack/Triple H street fight is up there for me. I love everything about that match and it was great to see Foley end his career as a complete badass after years of being comic relief.

Austin/Hart - WrestleMania 13. Can't get sick of it no matter how many times I watch it. The greatest match in WWE history by a fairly decent margin.

Rock/Brock - SummerSlam 02. Don't know what it is about this match - maybe it's the crowd, maybe it's the awesomeness known as a heel Brock Lesnar but it's definitely one of my favorites, even if it isn't one of the best.

Mickie/Trish - WrestleMania 22. Tremendous heat, phenomenal storyline, I mark for Mickie.

Possibly. Here's my Top Five.

1. Austin/Rock - WM 19 - I love this match, Hollywood Rock... spectacular gimmick by the way, versus Stone Cold... his final match, awesome really. One of the best matches I've watched to date.

2. Lesnar/Undertaker HIAC No Mercy 02 - Despite the horrible arm selling by 'Taker, loved this matchup. Lesnar as a heel with Heyman is golden and 'Taker going against Brock made things great here. I was infatuated with Lesnar at the time, and I've always been with 'Taker - made things all the better imo.

3. Austin/HHH - Three Stages Of Hell - No Way Out 01. This match made it worth it to see this live on PPV, I remember it whole heartedly and it was special. One of my all time favorites, easily here. The ending, the Cage match, etc, all were good. Good climax to the feud.

4. Batista/Undertaker - WrestleMania 23 - Very special contest. This is a personal favorite for a few reasons, it being WrestleMania, the feel to the match coming out was amazing for myself. I remember coming into this expecting little - so it made things all the better. I love having my expectations surpassed, I thought they'd be better then 90% gave them credit for, because I thought they'd matchup like Lesnar/Undertaker. I was right, a great matchup.

5. Benoit/Angle - RR 03 - Special match here. This should've been the main event I'd say, like they did in 2006 with the title matches after the Rumble. Considering how much the Rumble bombed this year and so forth. This made the PPV worth it in the end - the best match of Angle's career or close to it, and same with Benoit as HBK/HHH/Benoit was also close to this. The obvious best these two have had together. The sequences, etc, just were great.

Special mention - Rock/Foley RR 00 - Lesnar/Angle WM 19 (If he hit the shooting star press correctly, this would've completed the PPV amazingly.) - Benoit/HHH/HBK (Spectacular match, honestly) - Daniels/Joe/Styles Unbreakable 05 (They should've kept this PPV around) - Rock/Austin WM 17 - Hart/Austin WM 13 - Edge/Mystero vs. Benoit/Angle No Mercy 02 - HBK/Angle Vengeance 05 - JBL/Cena JD 05 (Best match of JBL's career) - HBK/Cena/Orton/Edge Backlash 07.

That wraps it up from me, alot of matches that are personal favorites of mine and all of the ones mentioned after I think were very debatably close to making my list here. JBL/Cena JD 05 is my #6, I will say as I thought everything besides the ending was spectacular about that match. If they came up with a more over the top, spectacular ending then the exhaust pipe... then I would've had this in my top 3/4 prolly.

Taker/HBK at badd blood. The match never gets old.

The 'Jake'

1. Austin/Hart - Wrestlemania 13. Quite self-explanatory here.

2. Rock/Austin - Wrestlemania XIX. Loved everything that went behind it; the match was even more spectacular.

3. Orton/Foley - Backlash '04. Couldn't topple my favorite matches of all time with some of Orton's performances; Loved the storyline and it was just a brilliant ending to the feud.

4. Fatal Four Way - Backlash '07. Best 4 Way I've ever seen to date.

5. Lesnar/Taker - No Mercy '02. Despite Taker completely fucking up the whole match, it was still something very spectacular. I prefer it over HBK/Taker as well.

And I'm sure plenty more... I'll add more when I come to think of a few.
