Orton and Edge actually did happen not just last year, but a couple years ago, shortly after Edge returned from his neck injury and had been drafted to Raw. After Edge finished a short feud with Kane, he targeted Evolution, Orton in specific, and went after the IC title and won it.

You mean the match that determined it all, and it wasn't for that we may not have a heel Edge at this moment.
I loved the way Edge turned heel and why. Vengance 2004 him vs Orton was a good match too, seeing the face get boo'd in his own hometown was something else.

I don't like talking about dream matches that can never happen. The talk of Rock vs. HBK or Kennedy vs. Austin just bores me really. While it would be awesome, I don't like to think about it because The Rock is never coming back full time and Austin is too banged up.
Personally I think a big ticket item at the moment would be Christian vs. Edge. We have seen this feud before but a feud between them at the moment would be something else. Both men have developed their skills and character's to their best points yet. They are both now multi time World Champions, with more reigns to come. Having a heel Edge against a face Christian would probably be the best way to go about this, as Edge has a long, long way to go back from his current heel status. He is truly the most hated man in the WWE. |
