Don't get me wrong, Punk's win was done well - my problem is that for three years running now, MITB has been cashed in at about the same time (May/June) - it's as if the creative teams aren't patient enough to just leave it for a bit longer to help build up tension etc.

Kennedy definitely planned on saving it and Edge waited until January, but ended up with a three week reign. RVD had to cash in at One Night Stand.

Obviously Kennedy was lying about the countdown to WM24 thing.

He still would've waited until at least sometime like Survivor Series. The only reason Undertaker lost was an injury, he was promised a long reign.
Ah, memories. Fuck his current dead career.

I don't know if you are being serious or not but I agree. Reason why Randy's reign was so great to me is because every time the safe money would to be bank against him. Guy didn't look like he had any sort of chance in hell against a returning Michaels, a guy that had been gone for nearly 3 years in Y2J, the hottest as well as most fucking over wrestler in Hardy, Cena, or HHH/Cena. The only time everyone knew he was going to win is when he lost. I'm pretty positive no one saw him losing the title at Backlash and that made for a exciting reign. I like Cena allot and his match quality was ridiclous but he got to a point where it was pretty damn obvious the deck was in his favor. Be interesting to see how Punk's reign is.

Really? I'll give you the other guys, but I'd say Orton was the favorite to come out with the title in that feud, pitting Jericho against a red hot Orton was a retarded decision.

Pretty sure I foresaw Orton losing at Backlash even though I was hoping he would retain. I was pretty sure he would retain against Hardy as well, him going over Y2J was also expected by everybody.
Only time I really though he was gonna drop it was at WM24.

Yeah, it was obvious he was losing at Backlash.
Triple H had been the planned winner at WM anyway, but they made Orton win for shock value because they couldn't do it with any of the other main events.
Jeff Hardy was beyond obvious, even though it was also obvious he was going to get the title soon after. They were doing the same thing they had done the previous year with a losing title match in January followed by a MITB win.
