As unpleasant as this announcement is, it is one that we feel we must make prior to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's fifth anniversary show, Life During Wartime, taking place this Sunday, July 6 at 5:00PM in Reseda, CA. Earlier today we received word from Jack Evans, one half of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Champions, that he would be unable to participate in the show this Sunday. Evans, who is currently appearing for AAA in Mexico, agreed to defend the World Tag Team Championship titles along with Roderick Strong at Life During Wartime over six weeks ago, shortly after winning the titles with Strong at DDT4. Evans made the necessary arrangements with the AAA office, and received clearence to travel to Los Angeles. Earlier today, Jack was informed by the office that he was expected to stay in Mexico this weekend and participate in AAA's events, or lose his job with the company. While we would like nothing more than to have Jack Evans be a part of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's fifth anniversary, we know that Jack must do what is best for his career, and therefore we understand his situation.

Jack's absence will force us to reorganize the line-up for this weekend's show, as well as assess the status of the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team titles. Announcements regarding both the lineup and the status of the titles will be made at Life During Wartime. We hope that you, the fans of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, understand that this situation is beyond our control, and that we will do all we can to make the best of this unfortunate situtation.

While a DVD can't take the place of one man, especially one man like Jack Evans, what about three DVDs? For fans in attendance this weekend at Life During Wartime, they will have the first opportunity of anyone around the world to purchase their copies of PWG Sells Out, the three disc, nine hour Best of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla compliation DVD. For fans unable to attend this weekend, or those who pre-ordered via ProWrestlingGuerrilla.com, PWG Sells Out will begin shipping next week.

Should have Strong pick another tag team partner......maybe Romero or Pac Pretty funny that the first time Jack gets a title, bad shit starts to happen.

I just knew it would happen, hince why most were shocked that they even won. I like them as a team but it was just bad booking as a whole since they knew he was going to Mexico. Hopefully he can make next show and make their reign something instead of nothing.

BTW, i watched Jack on AAA today, thank god he won.

Ehh I don't think they were expecting it to backfire on them like this. He'll probably be open for next week.

They could put the belts on Los Luchas I have become quite fond of them after watching allot of recent PWG.

They have given us some fun matches throughout. I wouldn't mind, and I know we can trust them as they always show up when booked. Only time they weren't together was back at Album of the Year since Zokre was injured.
