Panthers got the Bucs today, hoping they can start off 5-1 and make the playoffs this year. Delhomme has been really impressive since his surgery.
Pats owning the Bolts too plz.
Edit: FUCK, Carolina's losing.

I've been kinda marking of how good Carolina has played this year. Pretty solid football imho.
If the Packers don't beat Seattle today I'm pretty much giving up hope for this season.

Nope.
I knew that the lead would not hold up sooner or later, seeing as the defense is awful.

*I continue to be impressed by Rodgers, his ability to play through this injury, his ability to make plays with his feet, and his ability to throw on the move, especially when rolling to his right. Another gutsy performance. Make it through one more week, and there's a break.
*Anyone who does not recognize Greg Jennings as one of the top 5 playmakers in the NFL is fooling themselves. That guy is unbelievable on a weekly basis. Couple him with Driver's tough, gritty style of play and we have one of better tandems in the NFL.
*I got on the team early in the game thread about how I'm sick and tired of watching our line get put flat on their backs on offense... then watch our line get put flat on their backs on defense. There finally seemed to be a bit of push from both sides, even if it was against the smallish Seahawks. Every little step forward counts.
*Time of possession was key today. For once, our defense wasn't the one on its heels late in the game. Kudos to the team on that, specifically on the 15 play, 84 yard drive that seemed to take whatever wind was left out of Seattle's sails.
*Considering the venue, I was impressed with the cutdown on penalties. I was annoyed by the false starts when they occurred, but in hindsight a few are to be expected at Qwest.
*Big props to the linebackers this week. Barnett and Poppinga pursued the ball well (even though Popps did nullify a Colin Cole sack), Hawk played well through injury once again, and Chillar had a nice pass break up late in the game.
*Good to see some pressure from the defensive line. Kampman registered 2 sacks, and Cole provided good pressure on the aforementioned nullified sack. Except for a few hiccups, the run game was kept at bay as well. However, we need to do something to replace Jenkins. Neither KGB or Thompson can hold up against the run as a full time DE.
*How about Charles Woodson? Could have had a pick on a jumped route early in the game if the ball wasn't thrown so poorly by Frye. Left his coverage assignment on a perfect read to intercept Frye later in the game. Recorded a sack. May be the best cornerback in the NFC. I can't even put into words how valuable he is to this defense.
*Textbook coverage by Tramon Williams on his interception. Ball was underthrown, but that isn't Williams' fault. He made the play and seems to be filling in for Harris very well.
*Nick Collins is playing like an all pro. Had the hit of the day somewhere in the 3rd quarter, continues to be impressive in run support, and has improved in coverage over the Collins we used to know.
*Will "the thrill" Blackmon (as Wayne Larrivee would say) is turning into a reliable player. He's improving weekly in coverage, and is an electric kick returner who seems to make at least one coverage guy miss per return.
*Good to see the run game get (sort of) back on track. We put together some better runs early, but we still have FAR too many "bad" runs (3 yards or less). The inability to punch it in on the goal line is troublesome still, to say the least. Let's get a healthy Jackson back, get Wynn back in the swing of things, and continue to work with Grant and the O-line for week by week improvement. That's all we can ask at this point in the season.
*I LOVE the gentlemen's handshake as a celebration. A real professional addition, and something I'm sure will continue to catch on.
*Major kudos to our FBs today. Hall set the tone early by demolishing Deon Grant, Kuhn made the goal line TD reception, and both blocked well.
All in all, at this point in the season, we just need to scrap and claw for any win we can up until the bye. I don't care that we didn't have to face Hasselbeck or Burleson. They didn't have to face Harris, Bigby or Jenkins, and a hobbled Hawk and Rodgers. In any case, if we can will ourselves to a win at home against the suddenly formidable Indianapolis Colts going into the bye at 4-3, and get healthy, I like our chances in this division. For now, let's enjoy a win at a tough venue to play at, and playing ourselves back into first place in the NFC North.
GO PACK!

Great post, and I agree with it all.
Greg Jennings is an outstanding wide receiver, but I'd rather not he be recognized as a prolific WR. I'd rather see him as an 'under the radar' receiver who isn't recognized for his outstanding play. Thus, it makes him less known and more than likely he won't be double teamed as constantly as aforementioned.
I think the whole team played well as a whole, however, I do feel that our defense can do a little bit better closing out games. It seems even with a good lead I'm still not fully sold on a victory because our defense allows teams to come back time and time again.
Woodson is currently the best corner in the league, bar none.

This is the worst football game of all time.
Patriots seem to have the worst defense in the NFL and Cassel is having no luck.
