Both Kane/Chavo and Khali/Show were better than I expected.

My Backlash 2008 Review
Match #1: US Title
Matt Hardy Vs. MVP (c)
My Thoughts: Honestly, I don't have an opinion as I was distracted during the match and I haven't had the chance to watch it thoroughly. Only thing I caught was the end where Matt won. I thought it was the right thing to do.
My Rating: TBD
Match #2: ECW Title
Kane (c) Vs. Chavo Guerrero
My Thoughts: It was better than I thought it would be, but it wasn't anything good good or great. As Simon Cowell would say, it was forgettable.
My Rating: *3/4 to maybe a low **
Match #3: Giant V Giant Grudge
Big Show Vs. Khali
My Thoughts: Considering who Show was working with, this wasn't bad. For what it was, it was a fairly decent to fairly average match.
My Rating: **
Match #4: Special Referee (Y2J) Grudge
HBK Vs. Batista
My Thoughts: A good match. A lot of good psychology and the two seem to have chemistry. This definitely was better than their match back in December of 03 I think it was. Back then Batista was still kind of stiff/green and it turned out alright. I wasn't sure if HBK was legitimately hurt, but the ending was a bit odd because of how it happened, seemed almost rushy.
My Rating: ***3/4 to maybe a low/mid **** (a re-watch will settle my final rating)
Match #5: 12 Diva Tag Team
Team Mickie Vs. Team Beth
My Thoughts: Wrestling wise it seemed, well, it was of sort a clusterfuck. The only good things from this match was that the women looked hawt and Beth beat the snot out of Ashley.
My Rating: * (for the reasons I stated that I felt was good)
Match #6: World Heavyweight Title
Undertaker (c) Vs. Edge
My Thoughts: Another good match. Wasn't as good as their Mania match, but good nonetheless. I loved the counters for counters during the match. The ending was pretty cool as it solidified Taker's pre-match saying.
My Rating: ***1/2
Match #7: Fatal 4 Way Elimination WWE Title
John Cena Vs. Randy Orton (c) Vs. HHH Vs. JBL
My Thoughts: Very good match. The crowd seemed into it which made it a bit better. I felt the eliminations to JBL and Cena was done right. HHH/Orton turned it up a notch and made it an overall enjoyably very good match.
My Rating: ****
Overall it was a serviceable PPV, meaning wasn't great or as good as the recent strings/trend of good PPVs, but it was an enjoyable show for enough reasons. Something lacked I guess, I can't put my finger on it, but other than the few good matches, I just wasn't into it for whatever reasons.
My Overall Rating: 6/10

6/10? Jesus, I only saw that part.
I loved pretty much everything on this PPV. 5 of the matches were really good, 3 were particularly awesome and the other 2 were above expectations anyway. I'll write up a short review some time, but for now I'll just say that I found this PPV to be totally awesome.

Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad or anything, I just wasn't fully thrilled with it like previous PPVs. Backlash was a fairly/solid good PPV, just nothing to be overly happy about.

It wasn't a good good match between the two, but for what I expected, it was good for what it was worth.
